CCA is increasing its visibility in the neighborhood by opening up a series of seven spaces on Hubbell Street—just one block from the main San Francisco campus. Four of the suites are designated as the CCA Hubbell Street Galleries, which will be programmed year-round with curated projects and exhibitions, including senior solo shows, curriculum-based exhibitions, and student-organized exhibitions. The inaugural exhibition opens September 27.

The PLAySPACE Graduate Center Gallery will also relocate to Hubbell Street. The remaining three suites will be a shared meeting room, a campus planning office, and short-term office/collaboration space.

Opening exhibition: LOCAL RESOURCE

September 27–October 15, 2016

Opening celebration: Thursday, October 6, from 5:30–7:30 p.m.

161 Hubbell Street (at 16th Street), San Francisco

Local Resource is a thematic exhibition program presented in collaboration with 18 local partners to introduce and showcase existing art and community resources in the Potrero Hill, Dogpatch, Mission, Mission Bay, and SOMA neighborhoods of San Francisco while demonstrating ways the new gallery spaces can serve as a resource for both CCA students and the surrounding community.
